As announced by the Department of Defense, four of our own airman were killed on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 during an aircraft accident in Djibouti. They were aboard a U-28 at the time of the accident, which occurred near Camp Lemonnier, according to the Pentagon.

All on board were lost. Here is a little information about these great Americans.

• Capt. Ryan P. Hall, 30, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. 319th Special Operations Squadron – Hurlburt Field

• Capt. Nicholas S. Whitlock, 29, of Newnan, Georgia. 34th Special Operations Squadron – Hurlburt Field

• 1st Lt. Justin J. Wilkens, 26, of Bend, Oregon. 34th Special Operations Squadron – Hurlburt Field

• Senior Airman Julian S. Scholten, 26, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. 25th Intelligence Squadron – Hurlburt Field
